Organized Chaos

“Maybe I’ve always been more comfortable in chaos.”
– Florence + The Machine

Time for one of those crazy “let’s play catch up” posts.

The Donut Experiment opened on Halloween and I was very excited.  I ended up going there the next day, but was a little too late – they had already closed.  Clearly, I would be back.

I was wondering how I was going to be able to decide what to get, but was pleasantly surprised when  I saw this is how you order:

Stress free…sort of. 100% Guilt free.

Cinnamon Sugar. Vanilla frosting with Oreos. Glazed. Vanilla Frosting with Sprinkles. Chocolate with Sea Salt. Chocolate Frosting with Sprinkles.

They definitely have my seal of approval.  Speaking of sweets, when I walked into Publix the other day, the first thing I saw upon entering was the Christmas candy.  Unfortunately I spotted these bad boys:

If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

Speaking of sweet… but a whole different kind. My cousin, Heather, brought Madison Brooke into this world on November 6th.  I haven’t had the chance to meet her just yet, but I am already obsessed.

Little Princess.

The other morning I went out to my car and this was my windshield.

Wait, what? I’m in South Carolina this doesn’t happen.

Last Monday, I went to WWE Monday Night Raw for the first time.  I’m not going to lie, I was quite skeptical about this, but I actually really enjoyed it. I can’t believe I just wrote that.

Fifth row from the ring…oh heyyyy.

This is basically my reaction everyday when my friends tag me in memes and gifs.

The next day, I headed up to Richmond, Virginia for work.  I was heading up there to teach 5 Platform classes to the clients at Pure Barre Richmond – Near West End.  It was such a fun (and very quick) trip.  All of the clients were great and the owner, Sarah, and all of her teachers were so welcoming and appreciative.

Before heading back the next day, I stopped to get some cucpcakes. Hey, they were for Randall’s birthday. I HAD to.

Keeping it simple – Vanilla, Chocolate and Red Velvet.

I had a really late lunch, so by the time I got back to Greenville I made the adult decision to have this for dinner:

Speaking of adult decisions, I had a couple of these on Friday night….

21 years old plus a few years…

On Friday morning, I taught my usual 7am class at Pure Barre Greenville and then stopped by The Donut Experiment to get two dozen donuts to bring to the office.

They needed fuel for the Plank Off we were having post lunch.

I wasn’t planning on participating in the Plank Off.  On Wednesday night I only got about two hours of sleep and then on Thursday about three and half…but decided to try and power through.

All of the participants started in their forearm plank… the last five planking would move on the next round.  I think the first round was a little over four minutes… and I was feeling just great.

Not so much once we got into the second round.  The second round ended up lasting just over 12 minutes. Shout out to Olivia.. that chica is relentless and.. we needed to get back to work 😉

By the time I left work on Friday, I knew it was time to dig real deep and find my inner Energizer Bunny since we had a long night planned for the birthday boy.

Age ain’t nothin’ but a number.

Time to be normal.

The next morning we got up to head to the Clemson tailgate. It was their last home game and the first time I was finally able to make it down to play.  Randall spent his day hard at work,  but was able to hang with us for a bit.

That’s a good bit of what’s been going on over the past couple of weeks. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that we went up to Charlotte for a Ja Rule performance. Talk about a trip down memory lane.  Other than that, a bunch of working, teaching, not so healthy eating and putting a little bit of free time to good use.

Today, I literally did nothing.  And that is exactly what I needed.
