Actually I really don’t know how old (young) I feel… Few more hours left until the clock ticks to the 21st and I say bye bye to 28.
On the Saturday night of the Pure Barre Conference in Nashville there was a bull riding competition…bracket style. I was “lucky” enough to be nominated to saddle up…and fail. Big time. My form was awful. My coach (Paul – husband of Jenn V. who owns Pure Barre Charleston) let me know my feet were up way too high. Pure Barre form is key… Bull riding form is even more important. I felt like I had to redeem myself and here is a little clip of my redemption ride. Yes, I’m pretending that I had a coach.
My left thigh looked like I got in a fight with an actual bull… I will spare you the photos.
This past Sunday night, Lauren, the owner of both Pure Barre studios in Greenville invited us to join her at MAYA Movements Arts for an Aerial Yoga class.
Just SOME of the amazing ladies that teach in Greenville.
I am so obsessed with this. Clearly, I wasn’t that great at it since it was my first time. I can’t wait to go back. I totally need to work on my pulling (rather than pushing) strength.
Goal before 30: Join the circus.
At the end of play time, we got to wiggle our way inside our silk for shavasana.
Selfie… and then I closed my eyes and relaxed. Sort of.
My view (before I closed my eyes)
I can not wait to go back. If you live in the Greenville, South Carolina area I highly suggest you look into taking a class. If you don’t live in the area, see if there is a similar place near you!
Today, my boss, Katelyn, was reading something that had an exercise called the Buckaroo. This is my interpretation of it in gif form.
Get buck wild y’all!
Hope your week is off to a great start and only gets better from here on out!
